New employees and their information can be easily added, updated, and archived within WorkforceTNA. This article outlines how to set up a new employee profile, including the minimum data that must be entered under each relevant tab.
Notes:
- Add a new employee and add their details from scratch or duplicate an existing employee profile and change the details for the new employee.
- You can also update an existing employee's details
- You can also archive an employee
When creating an employee, you should follow the flow of the headers to fill out the required information.

To Add a New Employee, follow these steps:
- Click EMPLOYEES
- Click the ADD button on the top right. WorkforceTNA will generate a profile for your employee and generate a unique Clock ID.
- The minimum necessary fields you need to fill out under each tab are:
- Details: First Name, Last Name, Clock ID (should auto-generate).
- Personal: Email Address.
- Payroll: DOB (Date of Birth), Employment Basis.
- Clocking: No fields are required to save.
- T & A: Departments, Schedule, Locations.
- Paycodes: Payroll Entity (if using multiple company profiles)
- Leave: No fields are required to save.
- Data: No fields are required to save.
- Click SAVE
Duplicating Existing Employee Profiles
If you are adding an employee to an existing group where their setup will mirror that of other employee profiles, you can duplicate an existing profile and then update the employee-specific details. This can help streamline the setup process and save time.
- Click the Employees menu item on the left.
- Select the Employee you want to duplicate.
- Click the Duplicate Button
- Replace the duplicated employee's details with the new employee's details
- Click SAVE
