Once you've completed building a schedule, you can approve it to lock in the shifts and notify employees of their upcoming roster.
Step-by-Step: Approving a Schedule
- Navigate to the Scheduling screen.
- Review the schedule to ensure all shifts are correct.
- Click the Approve button.
✅ This locks the schedule, preventing further edits unless it is unapproved.
Notifying Employees
When approving the schedule, you’ll have the option to notify employees in two ways:
- Push Notification: Tick the checkbox to send a notification to employees using the My Workforce TNA mobile app.
- Email Notification: After approval, a new option will appear—Send to Employees.
Clicking Send to Employees will email the schedule to the address listed in each employee’s profile.
Email Options
When sending the schedule via email, you can choose to:
- ✅ Include PDF Roster in Email
Attaches a PDF version of the schedule. This may include other employees' shifts within the same department. - ✅ Include Comments in PDF Roster
Displays any optional comments added to individual shifts.
📧 Example: Employees will receive an email with the attached PDF showing their schedule and the schedules of others in their department.
