Users with Multiple User Roles
In Workforce TNA, a single user can be assigned multiple User Roles to provide flexible and layered access across different departments, locations, or responsibilities.
Assigning multiple roles to a user allows you to tailor their access, notifications, and reporting permissions without needing to create a unique role for every possible combination. The system will combine the permissions from all assigned roles to determine what the user can see and do.
Notes:
- A user’s access is the combined total of all assigned roles.
- If one role grants access to a department and another to a location, the user will have access to both.
- Menu Access is also merged—if one role allows editing and another allows view-only, the user will have edit access.
How multiple roles work together:
- Go to System Settings > Users.
- Select the user you want to assign multiple roles to.
- In the User Roles tab, click Add and select the first role.
- Repeat to add additional roles as needed.
- Click Save.
✅ Tip: You can use this feature to give managers access to multiple departments or locations without duplicating permissions in a single role.
