What are Tasks?
Tasks in Workforce TNA are used to track specific job activities or duties performed by employees during their shifts. They work alongside Cost Centres to provide more detailed job costing and time tracking.
Tasks allow organisations to break down work into smaller components for more granular reporting. For example, within a Cost Centre like "Warehouse," Tasks might include "Packing," "Inventory," or "Loading." This helps businesses understand how time is spent on specific activities and supports more accurate billing, costing, and productivity analysis.
Notes:
- Tasks are optional but useful for detailed job tracking.
- They can be renamed to suit your organisation’s terminology.
- Tasks can be included in reports like the Payroll Summary and Cost Centre Summary.
To view or manage Tasks, follow these steps:
- Go to Shift Setup > Tasks in the left-hand menu.
- Click Add to create a new Task.
- Enter a Name and Code for the Task.
- Assign the Task to relevant Cost Centres, Locations, or Employees if needed.
- Save your changes.
✅ Tip: You can re-label “Tasks” to match your business language (e.g., “Job Codes” or “Activities”) under Settings > General > Labelling Settings.
