This will take you through all the troubleshooting steps to get your clock online. Please read the instructions carefully and follow the relevant steps for your device. Some steps can vary depending on the clock type and age.
Notes:
- Some clocks will have a HTTPS setting, and some clocks won't. For the clocks that don't, you must make sure you put "http://" before any address in the Server Address field.
- Unless specifically requested by your IT, it is recommended that DHCP is ON under Ethernet and Wireless Networks > Advanced, regardless of which connection method you choose.
- Only connect your clock to the internet via Ethernet or Wi-Fi, not both.
To Configure and Connect the clock, follow these steps:
Connect your clock to the Internet:
-
If connecting via Wi-Fi:
Click Menu (M/OK) > Comm. > Wireless Networks > Select your network > Type in your Network's Password > Click M/Ok and wait for it to say Connected
To type the password into the clock, use the Right Arrow on the clock to Cycle through the types:
To type uppercase, click the right arrow until it shows [A]
To type lowercase, click the right arrow until it shows [a]
To type symbols, click the right arrow until it shows [symbols]
> Go to Menu > Comms > Wireless Networks > Scroll down to Advanced > Make sure DHCP is ON and confirm that you get an IP in the IP Address Field.> Go to Menu (M/OK) > Comms > Ethernet > Ensure DHCP is ON. All IPs should display 0.0.0.0
-
If connecting via Ethernet:
Please ensure the cable is securely connected. Then, turn off Wi-Fi on the clock by navigating to:
Menu > Comms > Wireless Networks, and set Wi-Fi to Off (if it’s currently on).
Next, go to:
Menu (M/OK) > Comms > Ethernet > Ensure that DHCP is set to ON and confirm that you get an IP in the IP Address Field.
Configuring the Cloud Server Settings:
-
Click Menu (M/OK) > Comm. > Cloud Server Settings > Make sure it shows as below:
Server Mode = ADMS
Enable Domain Name = ON
Server Address = (enter your WorkforceTNA URL. e.g. app.workforcetna.com)
Enable Proxy Server = Off
HTTPS: ON(If HTTPS isn't an option on your device, please put http:// in front of the address and then reboot the clock) e.g. http://app.workforcetna.com
Once the above steps have been completed or confirmed, exit to the main screen of the clock, and you should see some Icons in the top right corner.
or
The two computers = Ethernet connection.
The four bars = WIFI connection.
The Battery/Globe & Battery Icon = Connection status to your Workforce TNA/Premier.
The WIFI Icon may not appear if turned off when connected to ethernet.
If the Battery/Globe Icon has a cross on it or is Red, it isn't connected.
In this case, you need to do the following:
Menu (M/OK) > System > Reset > Ok
(This will only reset your settings. You won't lose any attendance data)
The clock should reboot, and then you must go through the above settings and correctly configure your clock.
Other Issues:
IPs are 0's: If you enable DHCP in the connection type you are using and the IP address is set to 0.0.0.0, the clock is not receiving an internet connection. You will need to contact your IT department or the person responsible for overseeing your network, as there could be an issue with the Cable or Wall Port if you are using ethernet or a MAC/IP restriction if you are using WIFI.
